Jim Boyd

James (Jim) Boyd joined the Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation (then known as the Brampton and Area Community Foundation) as its President & CEO in June 2004.

Before joining the Foundation, Jim worked in the private sector in real estate and finance, including the Royal Bank of Canada.

Jim was born in Toronto; lived in Aurora during his school years and then moved to Brampton where he lived for many years. Jim currently lives in Belfountain, Ontario.

Jim graduated from St. Andrew’s College in 1983; University of Toronto (Victoria College) in 1987 with a B.A. in History and Political Studies.

Jim is a past member of the Brampton Board of Trade’s Public Affairs Committee and a former Vice-President of a Provincial Riding Association in Brampton.

Before joining the Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation, Jim was also involved as a volunteer in fund raising campaigns on behalf of several charitable organizations.

Jim draws on his extensive and varied experience in finance, politics and community involvement to lead the Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation. Since 2004, the Foundation’s endowments have increased from $1.2 million to over $9 million in 2014; total cumulative grants-made are over 600 with a dollar value of approximately $3.5 as of the end of 2014.
