The Canada Healthy Communities Initiative (CHCI) is a $31 million investment from Infrastructure Canada to support communities as they adapt spaces and services to respond to ongoing needs arising from COVID-19. CHCI is an innovative program funding small-scale, local infrastructure projects to support communities in planning for recovery, and becoming more pandemic resilient.
With the first round of the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative coming to a close, community foundations have been able to provide local leadership in a pan-Canadian initiative to create safer, more vibrant and inclusive communities.
